One Step at a Time

Some asylum seekers hosted in Progetto Itaca have taken part in “One Step at a Time” walking. Liceo Volta in Lecco has organized this event as a cultural symbolic moment and as a meeting between migrants and Lecco inhabitants. The importance of cooperation in building the common good has been shown by the students. Indeed, the walking has been considered as a common path to follow. The goal was to reflect all together on freedom, commitment, inclusion,  respect for and protection of rules, universal human rights and reception mode.

The walking has been inserted in “Taking care of the common good” exposition thanks to the collaboration with Lecco district. The show wants students and young people to become aware of respect, civil liability and legality inside their own social and environmental context.
