This way! Direction summer camp in Rossino/Erve

We smile when thinking about summer camp.

We are Djibril, Yunus and Oumar, three boys living in the reception facility of Airuno. We spent three special weeks together with the guys of the summer camp in Rossino/Erve. Thanks to Progetto Itaca and Don Luciano we were given this occasion that we couldn’t loose.
The main objective was the journey and for us all the experience could be considered as a good journey. In fact, we discovered two beautiful cities surrounded by mountains, we met new people and we were taught lot of new things. Together with children and entertainers in the camp we learnt new games like capture the flag, chess, or water games. Moreover we played ping pong, pool and table football.
It was fine to stay with them during prayer as we had the possibility to learn choir songs and, therefore, to improve our knowledge of Italian language.
We took part in workshops and we helped children with decoupage, woodworking and cooking.
We got involved in the story of two girls who decided to go to Peru and Brazil to help people in difficult conditions.
We loved every single moment of our journey in the camp and this is why, if Don Luciano asked us “What did you like the most?” we wouldn’t know how to answer.
It is because of the children, the entertainers; it’s because of the ladies that brought us a delicious snack with a fresh drink every day.
Special thanks to Progetto Itaca that trusted us and to the priest who had always been hospitable. Thanks to all people who went along this journey with us because they made it fantastic!
