Who’s writing is a young mediator who works for Progetto Itaca. She describes how girls live pregnancy as something belonging to women: in fact, none of them wanted their partner to be with them. They were really interested in relaxing positions and in anatomical changes that affect women’s body. This because they were inclined to practical aspects and not to sensitivity.
Talking about the choice of the name, they remember how it works in Africa: it is the community who chooses the name, which is based also on what happened during pregnancy. The name is never chosen before the birth but it is decided after it in order to give the baby the most appropriate name.
